"WE can provide the tank you need at a cost you can afford." OUR One choice is tried and true, from one of the oldest Pump and captive air tank Manufactures. A "diaphragm tank" maker, they hold up as a rule over 20 years. Also "Goulds" pressure tanks have diaphragm's that prevent over expanding. We see them last well over 20 years on the job. And they have 5 year warranties. (Though Well-x-trol tanks have 7 year warranties we've had some trouble warranting them, even though the company sold them to us. and they also have been having more failures.)
Now the "bladder tank" types, act like a tea bag in our option, sometimes making the water smell. They also can over expand (when low on air), and like balloons, after they are blown-up to many times-POP- like blowing up kids balloons.

That being said there are 'many tank applications' best left to other proven company's. Well-Mates Fiber Wound (fiber glass) conventionally aired, 'automatic air charged tanks', will not rot out like the steel tanks of today. They typically have air-volume controls to let out the access air. AOSMITH (You remember them from their Water Heaters) makes diaphragm tanks that can be purchased at reasonable costs as do others.

Changing Well-x-trol or Goulds (20gallon(WX-202,v60) actual and higher sizes) from the same runs between $950 and up.
Changing unlike captive air tanks- $1050 and up depending on inlet height/fittings.
Typical changes from a old style (silver) aired tank runs from $1500 and up.
But we do recommend WX-203 (V100) minimum size(This is what manufactures recommend in 10 GPM pumps./Storage to Pumping Capacity.) which runs approx. $200-$400 more.
Old Style air to Fiber wound(S-9) $1200 to $1500
